Feel Like Giving Up? Why Opposition and Persecution Are Normal When You Follow Jesus (Acts 12)

In today's Daily Hope, Pastor John S. Dickerson continues a theme of what to do when you feel like giving up, and looks at two difficulties that come when you pursue revival: conflict with other believers and outside opposition. Pastor John reads from Acts 12, where King Herod has the apostle James killed and arrests Peter. While Peter is in prison, the church prays very earnestly for him, and God allows the opposition and brings good from it. Prayer becomes more wholehearted and the faith of the people is strengthened. He explains that when we seek first the kingdom of God and pray in earnest, we should expect opposition, even something like an online mob. It hurts, but it does not need to surprise us. It can validate that we are on the right course. Text "DAILY" to 71093 to receive Daily Hope videos sent to your phone every day. Download the CP+ Spiritual Fitness App for more.
