Praying For Someone's Salvation? Here's The Faith Jesus Noticed First

In today's Daily Hope, Pastor John S. Dickerson opens Luke chapter 5, the story of a paralyzed man whose friends carried him to Jesus and, when they could not get through the crowd, tore open a roof to lower him down in front of Jesus. Jesus responds to a detail that is easy to miss: he forgives the man's sins after seeing their faith, not only his own faith, but the faith of the friends who refused to give up on him. It is a picture of the quiet, persistent role other people can play in someone's journey toward Christ. Pastor Dickerson also shares the story of George Mueller, who prayed by name for five people to come to faith in Christ, some of them for more than thirty years, and how the last two came to Christ shortly after he had already gone to be with the Lord. If you have been holding onto hope for someone who has not yet given their life to Jesus, this message is an encouragement to keep praying, keep believing, and trust God with the timing.
