Podcasthon Charity podcasts! I am so excited to welcome Kyle Rothfus here with me to talk all about his great charity, Mareworthy. A lot of you know I have Run Binky Run. A racehorse mare, rescued out of Puerto Rico through Kyle to me and she was one of the precursor mares to Mareworthy. There was a huge hole in the way ex-racehorse mares and broodmares were being treated, with many going to the not so good auction/slaughter industries. Kyle has developed a great charity to help these mares go onto second or third careers including some great ways for the public to become involved with specific mares that are not going on to future careers and we can all feel like a part of their lives.
I think back to being a little girl and my pony dreams. Kyles Pasture Pals and other programs let all of us adults, fulfill those dreams without taking on the full cost and care of a horse. It is so much fun to be part of getting the word out about this charity, Mareworthy. We talk about how it started, it's mission, and how you can get involved in this special episode.
