Jabari Parker × Vic Mensa: Perseverance Through Struggle

Perseverance Through Struggle — Jabari Parker × Vic Mensa | DTC.TV

In May 2012, Chicago named two teenagers "next" — Jabari Parker at Simeon to Duke, and Vic Mensa with Kids These Days and Innanetape. Same city. Same moment. What followed was perseverance through struggle.

Jabari Parker — national player of the year, Duke Blue Devils star, No. 2 pick to the Milwaukee Bucks, then ACL tears in December 2014 and February 2017, through Bulls, Wizards, Hawks, Kings, Celtics — to FC Barcelona (All-Liga ACB Second Team 2025) and Partizan Belgrade in the EuroLeague.

Vic Mensa — Innanetape (2013), Roc Nation with Jay-Z, "U Mad" with Kanye West, The Autobiography (2017) and the BET Cypher — then 93Punx, Victor (2023), sobriety, Islam, fatherhood (Mansa Musa), 93 Boyz and SaveMoneySaveLife.

Two men. Two worlds. One shared story — perseverance through struggle.

SHARED STORIES. DIFFERENT WORLDS. Where the Booth Meets the Hardwood.
