When the Hype Fades Fast | Knuckleheads × Young Gunz

Two duos. Two cities. One arc. When the hype arrives fast, the fall always feels faster.

Darius Miles and Quentin Richardson lit up LA with the headband-and-alley-oop era of Clippers basketball. Young Chris and Neef Buck had Jay-Z's co-sign and the Roc-A-Fella machine behind them as Young Gunz. Both were supposed to be the future of their cities.

Then the future changed its mind.

This NBA documentary-meets-hip-hop documentary traces the parallel rise and fall of two brotherhoods — one on the hardwood, one in the booth — and what happened when the hype faded for both.
