The Camera Pulled From the Lake

After years of drought, a lake recedes and reveals a submerged camera near the shoreline. Inside, investigators recover a single surviving photo taken the day Evan Calder, a missing hiker, vanished.

The image shows Evan on the trail — and a man watching him from behind a tree. That one photograph reopens the case, leading search teams back to the water and uncovering evidence Evan did not disappear by accident.
