And Ashley Smith, a member of the Tempest Collective, discussing his piece “Faultlines in a new epoch of crisis: Imperial rivalry, authoritarianism, and resistance” about the capitalist crises driving the growth of authoritarian governments around the world with a focus on the United States; the failures of both the Democratic and Republican parties, and how we should organize to defend democratic rights and build working class power.
