A Human Sacrifice in Germany? Inside the HEUSENSTAMM Murder Investigation
In February 2026, dismembered human remains were discovered inside rubbish bins in Heusenstamm, Germany. The victim was a 63-year-old man who prosecutors believe was killed by a woman during an alleged satanic ritual. Investigators say the 40-year-old suspect believed she was suffering from a mysterious infection and that a human sacrifice could cure her.
After the remains were discovered, she was arrested near the Polish border. In this episode of You Can't Unhear, we examine the Heusenstamm ritual murder investigation, the alleged motive, the discovery of the remains, and Germany's unusual legal proceedings to determine whether the accused should be detained in a secure psychiatric hospital.
