One Cliff. Two Stories. One Truth. Attempted Murder Case in Hawaii - ARIELLE KONIG & GERHARDT KONIG

In March 2025, a birthday hike along the famous Nu'uanu Pali Trail on Oʻahu turned into one of Hawaii's most controversial criminal cases. Canadian hikers discovered Arielle Konig seriously injured after she claimed her husband, anesthesiologist Gerhardt Konig, had tried to kill her on a remote cliff. Gerhardt, however, insisted that he was the real victim. With no surveillance cameras and no eyewitnesses to the struggle itself, investigators were left with two completely different versions of the same event.

In this episode of You Can't Unhear, we examine the marriage behind the headlines, the alleged affair that shattered their relationship, the conflicting testimonies, and the courtroom battle that divided public opinion. Was this a carefully planned attack, an act of self-defense, or something far more complicated? More than a year later, the case continues to raise difficult questions about truth, memory, and what really happened on that cliff in Hawaii.
