Teaching Our Children to Judge Rightly

Do you have enough fingers on two hands to count the number of times you have heard Matthew 7 verse 1 used as a social media rebuke recently? “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” It sounds pretty straightforward, doesn’t it? And it’s enough to stop most people dead in their tracks. But we don’t think those words mean what people think they mean, and we also think it’s a good idea that we learn to counter this rebuke. While we’re at it, let’s teach our kids to rightly handle these instructions from Jesus that they might learn to judge… rightly.
