Sharetta Smith is the 59th Mayor of Lima – the first woman and African American to lead the city. A proud Lima native, she has served as a public defender, Magistrate Judge, and Chief of Staff, where she helped secure Opportunity Zone investments, launched the Lima Housing Task Force, expanded afterschool programs, and modernized city services. As mayor, she is focused on safe neighborhoods, economic growth, youth opportunities, quality housing, and efficient operations.
