“A new (old) command”

This week John Galambos spoke on 1 John 2: 7-8. Jesus told his disciples a new command to “Love one another as I have loved you”. Our call is to love one another, it is to be the defining mark of a Christian. So it’s a new command…but it also is old. Ties back to Deuteronomy and Leviticus to love God with all your being and to love your neighbor. It even goes back to the very beginning where God’s heart is to invite us (mankind) into a beautiful fellowship with him and with each other.
