- In the event of a government shutdown, active-duty military members, including the National Guard and reservists on active duty, are required to report for duty but are not paid. Their paychecks are delayed until Congress passes new legislation and ends the shutdown. The Coast Guard is also affected, as it is funded through the Department of Homeland Security, so its members would also not be paid.
- What is going on over there?

HEADLINE: Grieving father blasts pols for allowing daughter Logan Federico’s career criminal killer to remain on the streets by Richard Pollina
- Stephen Federico delivered a raw, gut-wrenching address during a congressional hearing in Charlotte aimed at tackling growing concerns over violent crime and repeat offenders — speaking just weeks after the high-profile murder of Ukrainian national Iryna Zarutska.
- His daughter, Logan Federico, was fatally shot on May 3 while visiting friends at USC in Columbia, South Carolina, after 30-year-old “career criminal” Alexander Dickey broke into the Cypress Street home.
- The father said that she apparently laid there for 7 hours before she was discovered.
- Alexander Dickey was committing 2.65 crimes a year since he was 15 years old. But nobody could figure out that he couldn’t be rehabilitated. Well, you’d have to put him in prison to see if he could be rehabilitated. Isn’t that the idea of prison?
- How have we allowed this to be the norm in our country?
- Something has to be done about these violent recidivist.
- Perhaps it may be prudent for Attorney Generals to go back through their logs of violent offender cases.
HEADLINE: Louisiana Governor Asks Department of War to Deploy up to 1,000 National Guard Troops by Gary Bai
- The troops would “support state and federal law enforcement agencies in addressing ongoing public safety concerns regarding high crime rates” throughout Louisiana, Landry wrote. Landry requested the troops under Title 32, which means that he retains command and control; however, the troops’ duties are federally funded and regulated.
- In his request, Landry said there have been “elevated violent crime rates” in Shreveport, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans, as well as shortages in local law enforcement. He said the state’s vulnerability to natural disasters made the issue more challenging, as public safety resources are strained, and that extra support would be especially helpful for significant events, including Mardi Gras and college football bowl games.
- You can’t go around yelling secede and then ask for Federal troops to keep the crime rates down.
- Why should taxpayers pay to enforce laws in other states?
- So why should a Texas taxpayer pay for Louisiana security and safety?

- I watched from start to finish, he did not appear in court physically.
- The Judge issued an order stating there would be no media contact w/ anyone who was a witness or anyone who would be called as a witness.

We also got kicked off of Facebook for the same thing. - We had over 20,000 followers there. I just killed the page.
- Twitter, before you could stream live I was put in Twitter jail over face masks too.
- Nothing has still been written about social distancing.
- They lied about who could catch COIVD.

- How is it possible that so many people became so dependent on the Federal Government to basically live?
- Purchasing food will be interrupted – that means we have far too many people on government food assistance.
- What kind of welfare state are we actually funding and running?
- Government shutdown effects WAY more Democrat voters than Republican voters.
- Hakeem Jeffries never had the support of the Democrats, he was pushed in by Nancy Pelosi.
