It will be easier to handle and read as we all have vision changes with age, pick one with HD(high-definition) resolution. Then you have to pick the OS(operating system), Android, Windows, Apple iOS. Linux for those Elder Geeks. My preference is Android as easy to use and on more device choices although Google Chrome OS for Tablets may be coming soon. This might be good all round choice for Elders as complete ecosystem with everything you need. Then there is Windows or Apple, Windows 8.1 if you can get use to the fact that it is NOT like the Windows 7 or older desktop, and Apple for those that feel the loyalty to them and there ecosystem. Good mid-range choices for those that read a lot are the Amazon Fire which has its Mayday button(help assistance) and you can use it with AmazonPrime for books, movies, shopping and music. Barnes&Noble Nook HD+ is still good choice for readers, it also has access to Google Play store with all the apps.
