TED Podcast Extras – LiteOn

LightOn or as I call it LiteOn is an innovative solution specifically developed for anyone with hearing impairments. It immediately alerts users when a call or SMS(short message service) is received on their mobile phones. As soon as a new call or SMS comes in, a bright LED light is triggered, which continues to flash until the user notices the missed call and resets the unit. This technology is based on special vibration sensors that are responsive only to the vibrations produced by mobile phones, while ignoring any disturbances from external sources. When an SMS is received, or the cell phone rings, it immediately converts the vibration signals into a brightly flashing LED light that alerts the user about a new message, or missed call. How it works: Once a mobile phone is placed into the cradle, the device detects the receipt of any incoming call or SMS message through vibration. It then automatically converts this vibration into bright lights in the front and back of the cradle. Additional benefits: Video calls: The device cradle's back-rest is uniquely designed to facilitate the use of sign language via mobile video phones. The angle of the cradle enables you to place your phone in the cradle and then comfortably sign with both hands. Portability and Simplicity: The device requires no plugs or installation. It is simply powered by three AA 1.5V batteries, making it portable and simple to operate. Consumers can take their cradle with them wherever they go, or place them in different rooms at home or in the office. Reliability and Compatibility: It is extremely reliable, simple to use, and compatible with all mobile phones which have a vibrating mode. Integration with Other Devices: It's designed to work as a standalone device, and can also be connected to external triggering and wireless signaling systems, thus enabling better communications and improving day-to-day quality of life and currently supports connectivity to wireless signaling systems. Could be a very useful device for anyone who has hearing impairments or just wants to be signaled for incoming calls or text when your not near your phone. Also good that it can be connected to other devices you might already have or future installations of systems. This is also available worldwide in many countries. Available in two models for integration with different types of signaling systems. Can be connected to a bed or pillow shaker, flashers and pagers. Comes in White or Black. It can be purchased on the Dreamzon.com site for $44.95 current sale price or Amazon and other distributors. I would also like to introduce HearNotes your Furture Wireless Sound.
