TED Podcast Extras – Quick Kicks

Quick (Kicks)sneakers, footwear, cross trainers, tennis, athletic, basketball, or casual shoes and others. Quikiks low tech hands free shoes. Sold as sneaker or as a casual shoe. Sorry ladies these are only available for men. Available in six styles, some black, white, both or brown leather with mesh on sneakers, lace-up or one that comes with single strap with Velcro closure. Sizes range from seven through fourteen by half sizes. Also available in medium, wide or extra wide widths. The Quikiks system is in every shoe. The rear or heal of the shoe tilts down like a hinge so you can easily slip a foot in. The downward weight of the foot closes it up and strong magnets keep the rear locked in place, or what is called quick-in. To remove or kick-off, simple strike down at about ninety degrees on the heal and it should pop open. Each pair of shoes comes with both medium and strong magnets. Magnets are easily swapped out to customize the shoe to your needs. A spring in the hinge keeps the shoes in the OPEN position so they are ready the next time you want to put them on. List of Features and Benefits: - Large toe area. - Elastic keeps tongue up. - Regular laces and straps for adjusting to your foot. - Antimicrobial lining. - Embedded system supports the foot. - Large area for stepping-in of foot. - Removable double padded insole. - Heal area shock absorption. - Padded collar. - Double sticking. - Two sets of magnets. - Wide flat, flexible rocker, non-slip, non-marking sole. - Cut line for mid sole modifications. - 50 percent more room than typical shoes. These are a great idea. Ideal for elders that might have knee, back or other health related problems bending to put on your shoes. Once laces are adjusted, no need to do them again unless they come loose. Not too bad of a cost, only $249 a pair. I have knee problems and always struggle putting my shoes on. Might have to give these a try. If you are regular listener to my podcast I would like to hear from you, get to know you and Welcome you to my HOME.
