TED #143 – AgeTech Expo 2015

Aging 2.0 AgeTech Expo 2015 3rd annual Pitch-for-Pilots where 12 market-ready companies will pitch to senior care providers in the audience in hopes of securing pilot partners. Attendees then vote in real-time on the quality of the pitch, idea, and the degree to which it meets a need. Senior care providers then will have the opportunity to submit an application to pilot with the companies in the exhibit area. The 12 pitches are chosen out of 500 companies that applied. This year only 11 presented as one was not ready. They have four minutes to present. This is a video showing those 11 pitches. The companies range from B2B(business-to-business) solutions to consumer level products. Attendees range from organizations across the continuum of long-term care, specifically Independent Living, Assisted Living, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, nursing homes, PACE, adult day services, home care and emerging community-based service models. Companies: AgeWell Biometrics CareAngel remotely monitoring. CareAcademy educating caregivers. Luvozo SAM robotic concierge. RespondWell telerehabilitation software. Revolve Robotics Kubi telepresence robot. Smartcare non-invasive devices, data analysis and reports. Spectra Health secure communication for modern care. TeleVisit virtual communities. The History Project where memories come to life. TouchStream Solutions tablet-based monitoring system for independent living. This is my first time with any video productions so I have to apologize in advance that some video or audio might not be the best quality. As I work towards the CES2016 event in January, I hope to have things worked out better. This is still very valuable content that may be of interest. This was my second time at an event, and my first annual expo. It is the best resource I have found so far that covers a wide range of products and services for the 50+ age group. Besides the pitches their will be many individual company reviews on future podcasts that came from this event as many other companies had booths there. I hope to continue to follow Aging 2.0 in the future to give updates and for it be a source for new and innovative products and services for the Elder communities and organizations that support them.
