In this episode of the Future Champions Podcast, we look at five quotes from the book Defying the Enemy Within written by Joe Williams. Joe Williams is a mental health advocate who has committed his life to teaching others how to create a wellness plan in their lives and protect them from the harsh impacts of mental illness and injury. As a young Aboriginal man, he grew up in regional New South Wales and was scouted by the late great Arthur Beatson to play for the Sydney Roosters. During his National Rugby League career, he played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Penrith Panthers and Canterbury Bankstown, before retiring to pursue a career as a professional boxer. As a boxer Joe Williams won the WBF junior welterweight world title and the WBA Asian title.
