How to Choose Childcare

Today I will give you tips on how to choose childcare. I start with a hair-raising story from when I was 16 and started working in a nursery. The point was that parents never walked through the school to see what was happening. Do that. Today, there are regulations and a website with any violations. Check that. Check their policies on vaccines and accidents. Then go see it. Look for space, toys, books, cleanliness. Check out my stories. They will give you some clue. Think about whether you need a licensed center or a family day home. Think about how old your child should be before being entered. Think about how few hours you can keep him or her there. Do NOT BE FOOLED THAT CHILDCARE IS NECESSARILY BETTER THAN HOME. Don't be fooled by cute doors and overly-nice directors. Talk to the teachers.
