Jesus’ 5 Instructions for Letting Him Lead Your Christian Business

While we desire to let Jesus lead, wouldn't it be GREAT to have clear instructions on how to do that? Many of us high-achieving Christian women are letting Jesus lead in some places but not others. And the result of carrying that weight alone often looks like burnout, broken relationships, and a faith that stays neatly contained to Sunday. There's a better way — and Jesus gives us five clear instructions for it. In this episode, you'll learn: Why meditating on God's Word (Joshua 1:7–9) is the first and foundational step to letting Jesus lead your business — and what it actually produces What it means to truly follow Jesus as a Christian entrepreneur (hint: it requires sacrifice and the surrender of self-direction) How John 15 reframes everything about productivity and accomplishment — and why "without me, you can do nothing" is not a warning but a truth wrapped in grace & love Why we seek everyone else's counsel before we seek His — and how Matthew 6:33 corrects that pattern What walking in your new self (2 Corinthians, Ephesians) has to do with how you show up in your Christian business today The powerful example of Peter in Luke 5 — and what his "at your word, I will let down the net" teaches us about obedience in the face of doubt Scripture References: Deuteronomy 6:5 Matthew 22:37–38 Joshua 1:7–9 Matthew 16:24 Romans 8:28 John 15:5 Matthew 6:33 2 Corinthians 5:17 Ephesians 4:20–24 Luke 5:1–11 Key Takeaway: Whether you're scaling an established business or refining what you've built, this episode will remind you that Jesus has the exact instructions for how to let Him lead what He's already placed in your hands. And when you follow those instructions, you’ll experience the full measure of His joy and peace as you work! Reflection Questions to Apply Today’s Episode Which of the five instructions — meditate, follow, abide, seek, or walk in your new self — are you most naturally living out in your business, and which one is Jesus inviting you to surrender more fully to Him today? Where in your business are you leading yourself instead of letting Jesus lead? What would it look like to say, like Peter, "At your word, I will move" in that specific area? What old habits, past failures, or need for control are keeping you from walking fully in the new creation He's already made you to be — and what is one step you can take this week to release that to Him?
