Mark Scheifele's Gordie Howe hat trick leads Winnipeg Jets to 4-1 win over Golden Knights

The Jets kick off this short homestand with a 4-1 defeat of the Golden Knights in a must-win game. While they didn't gain any ground on the Predators for the final wild card spot as Nashville also won, they didn't lose any ground either. Of course with just 11 games left they are running out of runway trailing by five points.

It was a milestone game for Mark Scheifele as he was playing in his 950th game in a Winnipeg Jets uniform. That matches Thomas Steen for the most games ever played in a Jets uniform in Winnipeg. He also got his fourth ever Gordie Howe hat trick with a goal, assist and a fight.
