Amos 7:1-17 is our text this week, the main idea being that being a just person is going to cost you. Two costs in particular come out in this passage: First, God has a standard, and being just means you have to live by that standard (versus doing whatever pleases you). Second, a just person will sometimes be loved, but is also going to have to take a lot of hate.
