Episode 34: Lymphedema and Dating…from the Female Perspective.

Photo from Unsplash Let’s face it dating is hard enough without adding in the stress of a chronic illness such as Lymphedema. Of course it is not limited to Lymphedema as others suffer from chronic illnesses that interferes with many aspects of life. Today my very brave new friend Alison is telling her side of the dating story. She was diagnosed when she was 17 with Primary Lymphedema but she did not let Lymphedema stop her from competing in a physique competition, starting her own business, or landing a dream husband who so lovingly takes of her bandages after coming home from work {{ insert girly squeele and heart eyes }} This is what the fairy tale ending is supposed to look like While Alison is happily married to her Prince Charming, she did kiss a few toads along the way.
