A child’s parents are the two people in the entire world that a child wants to love and trust more than anyone else. Many parents are in survival mode. They are tired, anxious, overwhelmed, busy and lacking inspiration. They don’t know how to get beyond the day-to-day challenges as parents. Parenting is a time of mystery and it’s okay not to know everything, there no manuals for parenting. Times are changing, but more importantly than that, your child is changing. Learning how others have been successful and finding what works with you and your family is key. During this show you will hear from a parent, grandparent and author Darla Noble who will share with us her experiences, in her new book, “Love momma D Helping parents get to the heart of parenting from the heart.” Darla Noble is a Christian author and ghostwriter specializing in parenting/family resources, inspirational nonfiction, Bible studies, and curriculum. Darla’s popularity comes from her ability to encourage and educate through storytelling and practical, Godly advice. Her other most recent book is the devotional, “Through the Eyes of a Shepherd”: a collection of ‘now I get it’ moments that remind us of the blessings that come from being God’s sheep. One thing that sets Darla apart from other Christian authors is her commitment to give back to God by committing 20% of all her book sales to various ministries and organizations. For the first quarter of 2017 20% of Darla’s book sales will be donated to the MY PEOPLE FUND established by Dolly Parton to help our Tennessee friends and neighbors begin rebuilding their lives after the devastating fires last month. Darla has been married to her childhood sweetheart, John, for 36 years. They are the parents of four grown children and seven grandchildren. In addition to writing and speaking, Darla enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, walking, swimming, and camping.
