Athlete Wellness | Time Management Tips for Athletes

In this episode of the Athlete Wellness podcast series, D1 athlete turned athlete mental health therapist Lilly Wehman and summer intern and current North Central College student-athlete Amanda Melton discuss the struggle to manage your time as a college athlete. Academics, sports, and social life – it’s a lot. The two go on to ask each other what has worked for them. This could look like making to-do lists, setting goals, studying in chunks, or asking friends to grab food. For academic success, it’s all about balancing commitments, avoiding procrastination, and prioritizing tasks. Incorporating things outside of your sport is key when it comes to athletic performance, scheduling, recovery time, and living a balanced lifestyle. Ensuring time for hobbies, social interaction, and relaxation contributes to a more balanced and fulfilling life. Utilize an MCC Athlete Wellness counselor as a resource for guidance and support when it comes to time management and much more.
