G Is For Gorillaz
*Originally released June 25th 2014*
RETURN OF THE CURSED EPISODE! Doug and Steve (re)record this *remastered* episode on trip-hop, alternative virtual band Gorillaz, brainchild of Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. The fellas also take some time to talk about misleading radio edits, and remix albums.
Music featured this week:
Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz
Stylo - Plastic Beach
Feel Good Inc. - Demon Days
5:11 - Check out Jack & The Ripper via their Bandcamp page. Trust me.
9:42 - That\'s \"Song 2\" from their self-titled album, Blur.
11:15 - It\'s actually called \"Gonna Make You Sweat\" by C+C Music Factory and quite famously mismatches the voice of Marsha Wash with the image of a far svelter, younger woman identified as \"Zelma\" in the video.
13:29 - Here\'s an Amazon link for \"Rise Of The Ogre\".
13:50 - Murdoc takes MTV on a tour of Kong Studios for MTV Cribs.
23:43 - Here\'s that fantastic performance from Deltron 3030 on The Late Show With David Letterman back in October of 2013.
26:21 - Okay Marco, here\'s that shout out you deserve: Check out Marco\'s art on his Twitter account here.
29:20 - Ah Pazuzu. The full totem is actually seen in the fourth Exorcist move, \"Exorcist: The Beginning.\" By all accounts, this is a terrible movie.
31:15 - Looks like there\'s a good version of the video for \"Rockit\" on YouTube these days.
37:17 - Check out our episodes, U Is For U2 Part 1 and Part 2!
43:40 - Check out what Doug had to say about those Demon Days tracks in his series of articles on his top 100 fave songs.
1:03:32 - Check out our episode, K Is For Kasabian!
1:05:58 - We revised this opinion in our episode, B Is For Bee Gees!
1:07:06 - Here\'s the video for the standalone single \"Doncamatic.\"
1:22:27 - You should pop over and listen to our episode O Is For Outkast!
