70x7 | Part 3: FORGIVEN… NOW WHAT? | Paul Dennison
If I have forgiven them, what does love require me to do next?
Forgiveness releases the debt, but it doesn’t automatically rebuild the relationship. Must I trust them again? What if they aren’t sorry? What if the relationship remains unsafe?
In Part 3 of our 70x7: Forgiven to Forgive series, Paul Dennison explores the biblical difference between forgiveness, reconciliation and restoration.
Drawing from Matthew 18:21–35, Matthew 5:23–24 and Romans 12:18, this message considers five important principles:
Reconciliation begins when someone goes.
Reconciliation requires two willing people.
Forgiveness, reconciliation and restoration are not the same.
Restoration rebuilds trust through repentance and time.
Peace is possible even when restoration is not.
Forgiveness can be given, but trust must be rebuilt. Love takes the faithful next step that depends on you and leaves the outcome with God.
