The Verdict Changes Everything | Romans 8:1–4 | Paul Dennison

Imagine standing in a courtroom and hearing the words: "Not guilty."

At that moment, nothing you do can change the verdict — you either receive it or keep living as if you're condemned.

That's the force of Romans 8:1–4.

In this opening message of our Romans 8 series, we explore Paul's powerful declaration:

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."

Romans 8 is the heart of Paul's letter and the foundation of Christian assurance. It begins with no condemnation and ends with no separation — showing us how God has dealt decisively with sin through Jesus and the life-giving power of the Spirit.

In this message, you'll discover:

Why Romans 8 is the climax of Paul's argument

How Romans 8:1 answers the struggle of Romans 7

What "no condemnation" really means

Why grace doesn't lower the standard — it supplies the power

This sermon sets the foundation for the entire Romans 8 series and leads us into communion — where we stop arguing our case and start trusting God's verdict.
