Growing up in a family of skiers before going to university and initially pursuing a career outside of the outdoor industry, Jayne Nolan found herself getting back to her ski roots when she landed the job of executive director for American Avalanche Association (A3 in this interview for short). We chatted about how she got there, challenges within the role, and getting into backcountry skiing. A3 has also partnered with BCA to deliver scholarship opportunities to women in the ski industry that are advancing their education in avalanche safety.
