Richard A. Morse runs the Hotel Oloffson in Port au Prince, Haiti. Richard grew up in Connecticut, the son of a Haitian woman and an American man. He moved to Haiti in the 1980’s where he leads the band RAM. Richard discusses his life, the music and what it means. When not touring internationally RAM plays regular gigs in Haiti. Richard’s cousin is Haiti’s current president Michel Martelly, who is currently embroiled in an election scandal.
