Every January GlobalFEST happens in New York City, bringing artists from around the world together to celebrate music. GlobalFEST is also a music industry showcase, so lots of industry professionals and press also attend. GlobalFEST is a space where people come together to appreciate the variety of music, to meet artists, to dance and party!
Baruch spoke with Isabel Soffer, one of the founders and Directors of GlobalFEST. They discussed the how and why of GlobalFEST, and also the globally expansive musical possibilities that GlobalFEST cultivates and offers in the form of tours, bringing international musicians to cities where they would not have gone otherwise.
Baruch is then joined by Cellist Michael Nicolas who will be performing at GlobalFEST as part of Brooklyn Rider in their collaboration with Magos Herrera.
