57. A Dwarf in the Low Key

Separated from the party during Orbog's disastrous coronation, Stumblefoot unknowingly uncovers a web of hidden secrets beneath Southern Towerfall. After discovering secret passages beneath the castle, he follows a mysterious minotaur into the city's criminal underworld, overhears negotiations for a powerful magical sword, and accidentally stumbles upon an entrance to the Underdark itself. Returning too late to stop the coup, Stumblefoot finds the cathedral abandoned and learns from the spirit Ereketh that Lolth has seized control of the kingdom, Emryn has fallen, Orbog has vanished, Wilder has been taken, and Pough has disappeared into the Ethereal Plane. Alone and with nowhere left to turn, Stumblefoot gathers what little he can from the castle before setting out to reunite with his scattered companions.
