Kristen Kalp of www.kristenkalp.com was who I immediately thought of as THE perfect guest to close out 2021 and kick off 2022.

Although, I must be a glutton for punishment for initiating this interview.

I LOVE talking to this beautiful human, BUT she constantly challenges me, makes me uncomfortable and pushes me whenever I speak to her.

In saying that, the follow-up notes after an episode with Kristen are filled with positivity, reflection, breakthroughs and growth. Which I thought would make her THE perfect guest to kick-off 2022.

Kristen's past episodes include…

092 – How To Brand Your Photography Business the Right Way

123 – How To Get The Best Portrait Photography Sales

182 — How to Get Paid and Stay Creative as a Photographer

223 — Life and Business after Quitting Facebook

Kristen is the author of the book – Go Your Own Way – it's the BEST branding workbook you will find, and it was written well before branding became the famous, sexy business topic it is today.

She's authored many other books, is a teacher, coach, speaker, podcaster, poet and more.

With no plan for this episode, I'm rapt to welcome Kristen back to the podcast.

Looking at a photography on Instagram is not the same as looking at a photograph in print. We all know this. The more you can stick your face in photographs in print, the better off you're going to be as an artist regardless. – Kristen Kalp

You'll also receive access to the members-only Secret Facebook Group where you can connect with other Premium Members and interview guests to help, support and motivate you to take ideas you hear in each episode and put them into action. There are also FB live video tutorials, role-play interviews and special live interviews happening in the group. You will not find more friendly, more motivated, caring and sharing photographers online.

Seriously, that's not all.

In addition to everything above, you'll get access and instructions on forming or joining a MasterMind Group with other premium members. These groups are super motivating, make you accountable and build friendships with other pro photographers with similar motives to you – to build a more successful photography business.

What is your big takeaway?

Following this interview, I’d love to know if you're taking anything away from what Kristen shared. Is there something you heard that excited or motivated you to the point where you thought, yeah, I'm going to do that! If so, let me know by leaving your thoughts in the comments below, let me know what your takeaways were, what you plan to implement in your business as a result of what you heard in today's episode.

I'm not trying to reach 20-year olds. They're not ready for me. Frankly, they're just not. I like to work with people who are fed up with the bullshit. – Kristen Kalp

If you have any questions that I missed, a specific question you’d like to ask Kristen or if you just want to say thanks for coming on the show, feel free to add them in the comments area below.

Thank you!

Thanks again for listening and thanks to Kristen for coming on to share her thoughts, ideas and experience on creating a business that satisfies our soul without mindlessly pursuing more money or even success, without some understanding of what success is and what you might be willing to give up to achieve it.

I don't think we all need seven figure businesses. I think we need to know what's enough and especially what's enough time, what's enough money, what's enough energy and then go for that. – Kristen Kalp
