2022 February 02 - The Galactic Center in Radio from MeerKAT

In today's image, we see the central regions of our galaxy in the radio part of the spectrum. While the center of the galaxy cannot be seen in the visible portion of the spectrum. This is because of dust between us and the galactic center which absorbs visible light. The longer wavelength radio waves are able to penetrate the dust.
