2021 August 29 - Orbits of Potentially Hazardous Asteroids

In today's image, we see a diagram showing the orbits of 1000 potentially hazardous asteroids. These are objects large enough to cause a significant amount of damage and also pass relatively close to Earth. While none are likely to hit Earth in the next hundred years, it is possible (and likely) that some will strike Earth hundreds or thousands of years from now.
