2026 July 09 - The Red Glow of the Cosmic Bat Nebula

In today's image, we see the Cosmic Bat Nebula ice is a dark nebula - a star forming region which may resemble a bat flying in space. The red glow is the glow of hydrogen gas begin expelled in a jet from a newly forming star.
