17: Interview With Gary Turner

In this episode I interview Gary 'Smiler' Turner, a Hypnotherapist, Personal Trainer for Fight Sports, and Performance Expert. With a background as being a 13x World Champion across three different sports he 'walks the walk' as well as 'talks the talk', demonstrating professional and personal congruence with his work. Amongst other things we chat about: - Why he prefers the term “non-conscious” over “subconscious” or “unconscious” - How working with the “non-conscious” is unavoidable… you cannot NOT influence people. - Whether hypnosis really can be used to “control” people? - Why he incorporates lots of “hypnotic phenomena” into his client sessions - How memory traces can be embodied physically. ABOUT GARY: In addition to the above, Gary constantly studies and develops applications to apply that knowledge. He is an experienced speaker to a variety of audiences and works with individual clients, sports teams, both military and civilian services personnel, and businesses delivering corporate change. He regularly works with The British Army, and elite sportspersons, including Olympians and World Champions.
