I don’t want to fall into the trap of partaking of “hopium”, here on April 21, 2025, as Pape Francis I passes away. In his 12 years as Pope, Francis appointed more than 90% of the Bishops who will now select his successor. Let’s “hope” that Francis’ more-than-100 of the 132 voting cardinals are not as far-left as Francis was.
