Self-Reliance

In this episode of Soul-full Sunday Mary makes reference to Ralph Waldo Emerson’s essay on Self-Reliance where he encourages others to rely on their own independent will instead of conforming to society. She finds it quite interesting that philosophers from many years ago knew to trust yourself more than anyone else. So many times we are looking to make decisions and we vacillate on the simple things. In reality, we already have the answers yet we look for validation from others.
