Everyone should have a self-care routine (if we don’t take care of ourselves, who will?). Don’t forget artistic self-care!
Have You Checked Your Self-Care Routines Lately? We all have self-care routines, even if we call them by other names. Quiet time, vegging out, hiking, reading, knitting, kayaking, or photography. Things you do to nurture yourself count as part of a healthy self-care routine. I’ve discovered over the years I tend to take care of myself in the same, comfortable ways day after day, week after week, month after month, and…you get the picture.
I’ve found it helpful to take an occasional inventory to ensure I take care of myself in a variety of ways. Ways that nurture my mental health, academic and artistic health, physical health, and spiritual health. Because I grew up thinking I had no artistic talent, I failed to nurture my artistic side. And we ALL have an artistic side. But maybe you’ve forgotten to nurture it.
In today’s podcast, I’ll share some tips for improving your photography. Photography is one of the easiest and most accessible art forms we can develop to enhance our artistic self-care.
