The Fansplainers – Forgotten Island

Hello, movie maniacs!

This week, Mary and Dave watched Dreamworks’ newest animated film Forgotten Island.

The film explores friendship, growing up and growing apart, and accepting change – with added humour, excitement ,scares and Philippine myths and legends.

Unfortunately, like the excellent Hoppers, Forgotten Island is the victim of modern studios’ inability to market coming-of-age movies by trying to make everything look like Minions garbage.

But what did Mary and Dave think? Well, let them fansplain it for you.

Thanks for listening.
