Today we’re joined by Steph Routh of Why Isn’t Anyone Talkings About This? podcast, Guthrie Straw of Pedal Dream, and Portland’s favorite Seattle-ite Madi Carlson author of Urban Cycling. Thanks to our beverage sponsor, The Beer Mongers, and, as always, thanks to our generous Patreon donors that keep us going! Thank you all for listening and HAPPY NEW YEAR! mail from show-supporter Patrick Archain Dear Sprocket Podcast hosts, Thanks for the ongoing podcast and plethora of good stories and interesting guests. I have been looking forward to each episode and I always feel like the show could last for another 15 minutes but moderation is key. Several months ago, you had a another set of hosts take the mic and do an episode of the Sprocket Podcast in your absence. What happened to these fellows? Is there another collaboration planned? Thanks again, enjoy the end of the year and best wishes for the coming ones (2016 and beyond)! Patrick Supporter Doug Robertson chimes in about Sears-Roebuck homes Yes, Sears did complete home kits from 1908 to 1940. They were offered in 44 different styles. They included everything you needed to build the house right down to the pre-cut lumber, plumbing, electrical fixtures and heating systems. Thousands of these homes still exist in cities all over the country. If you live in a big city you've been by or even inside a Sears Home without even knowing it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sears_Catalog_Home The Sears and Roebuck catalog at the turn of the last century and in the early 1900's was the Amazon.com of the day. They sold everything you could imagine by mail order including cars and homes. Another note. I am a Brompton owner and I've done quite a few mods with Brompification parts. It's one of my favorite companies along with Brompton themselves. Johnny K liked listening to our movie commentary, but didn’t watch the movie this year I didn’t watch the movie at the same time that I was listening to your show. I was not a big fan of this movie. This movie was too predictable and a bit boring. Anyway your commentary was funny at times though so it made this episode worth the listen especially when you commented about the various modes of transportation and you pointed them out.
