When the Apostles asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, Jesus included this request - that His eternal Kingdom would be established on earth and His will be done. This is certainly the desire of sincere believers, but what exactly did Jesus mean and is it being misinterpreted by some to suit their own agendas? Israel has a covenant with the Lord Almighty, but how about the church in America? And where does the Bible teach us to build the kingdom of God here instead of having the Lord Jesus return and usher His kingdom in as Scripture describes? Where is Israel or even, America in all of this? Where did 'kingdom now' theology come from?
