Maybe it’s because we have the Internet and a 24-7 news cycle; maybe it’s because of social media and the instant potential impact as events occur worldwide; maybe it’s because more of us are paying more attention to real news; or maybe it’s simply because the world is falling apart as Bible prophecies are falling into place. Whatever the reasons, it’s vital for true believers to have a solid, biblical Christian worldview and do our best to see people and events with an eternal perspective. Though we were not given a spirit of fear, it’s easy to become anxious or overwhelmed if we focus on this world rather than the Word. Christians are not of this world and we’re surrounded by daily reminders this life is temporary and fleeting. Today’s program is about seeking first the kingdom of God in the midst of darkness, and advancing in our culture with truth and love and the gospel of peace. The end times are upon us and rather than be anxious - we should be excited. What fascinating times we live in! God does not make mistakes and His purposes will prevail. You and I are here for such a time as this; and today’s challenge is to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ as we strive to understand current events in light of God’s word and be faithful and obedient servants of the King of Kings. His kingdom come; His will be done. Pastor Carl Gallups is back with us today to discuss current events as they relate to the end times and Bible prophecy. Check out some news about his latest book, When the Lion Roars: Understanding Implications of Ancient Prophecies For Our Times.
