God is Faithful

We hear it proclaimed almost every time we gather in Christian fellowship: "God is faithful!" There is certainly peace and security in knowing we worship the one true God who cannot lie or contradict Himself, and whose eternal nature and attributes are unchanging. It should give us great peace to know God cannot break His promises and that He provides a consistent message for us as His adopted children. But is God's faithfulness conditional upon us in any way, shape or form? Can he be moved or manipulated by our level of faith? And just what is God faithful to do for both those who commit to Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, and those who reject Him?
