On today’s edition of SUFTT, we welcome Pastor Claude Stauffer back to the conversation to talk about the weighty topic of “judgment”. When it comes to “judging” others, subjectively speaking, people have strong opinions on what that should look like. If a believer is making a discernment call about a certain movement or belief system, one that touches close to someone’s heart, they sometimes lash out with “judge not!” As believers, we have no desire or authority to condemn someone eternally, in judgment that belongs to God alone. But the unbeliever doesn’t, cannot, rightly divide that. We don’t know anyone’s heart. But if we further subdivide this topic, some believers don’t even want to hear a discerning thought, biblically based, on why certain teachings or ideologies are truly wrong – and they tie believers’ hands who really do understand the difference between right and almost right. A solid hour with a wise guest who knows his Bible – and brings clarity to an important issue.
