Review of Dan Kennedy's Book "The Ultimate Marketing Plan"

Today I decided to talk about a series that I started last year on my blog page. It’s called the “best book of the month”. And in this series – which is a monthly documentary - I’m reviewing different marketing and business books written by highly successful business experts and yes very often contradictable personalities. You might ask yourself… Krisz, why the heck did you pick this title? Why not one of his famous ‘BS’-books. And my answer to that is because #1. First of all, this one - “The ultimate MP” - includes a lot of advice, information and insights Dan Kennedy uses in his other books too. #2. Second, because it talks about mastering the fundamentals in marketing: like defining your target audience, getting your positioning statement right, communicating your uniqueness, getting your message out and building your brand from Day 1 (and not day 100 or 200 after you’ve been in business for 2-3, 5 years…) #3. Third, because the business world today is nothing like it was 10 or even 5 years ago. Marketing budgets are tighter, it’s become increasingly difficult to gain consumer’s trust (let’s face it: consumers are more skeptical today than 10 years ago!) and online marketing (social media for example) has revolutionized the way we talk to our customers and do business today. #4. Fourth, because this book has helped me a lot – and I’m saying this as an expert in developing and executing marketing plans for the last 15 years – and I’m sure it will open your eyes as well. But more importantly, it will help you understand the MOST important thing in marketing – that is “Getting the right message to the right people via the right media and methods – effectively, efficiently, and profitably.” Happy Marketing! And remember to always play to your strengths! Kindest, Krisz Rokk www.StrengthInBusiness.com
