As Avaya customers gathered for Avaya ENGAGE last week, Avaya released Avaya Surge, an offering to improve security "at the perimeter of the Internet of Things". Formerly SDN Fx Healthcare, Avaya Surge is available for all verticals, and its can run on any vendor's network. In this podcast, Avaya's Randy Cross gives us a tour of Avaya Surge, and how it will help UC and UCaaS managers deliver security while offering centrally-set, "Follow-me" profiles applied on a by-device basis, and automatically learns and updates from traffic flows, providing continuous, ongoing security improvement. Cross describes the reaction of Avaya customers at the show as being very enthusiastic, whith one Avaya user describing Surge as potentially "life changing" for his company. The product is designed to help Avaya Business Partner community deliver a needed and welcome solution as the promise and challenge of IoT continues to reshape the communication networks and other organizational systems. Avaya Surge will be available through Avaya Channel Partners in the second quarter of 2017. Learn about Avaya Surge
