Viakoo enables IoT devices to maintain a Zero Trust capability through Remediation and Repatriation, Podcast

The day you receive the IoT devices with the latest in Zero Trust hardware and software technology – they will probably already be out of date. Depending on the IoT device, they can spend months in the supply chain prior to being shipped to the end consumer.

Bud Broomhead

This is where Viakoo steps in to help those customers stay current. Bud Broomhead, CEO and Founder of Viakoo explains to Don Witt of The Channel Daily News, a TR publication, how most organizations will have dozens if not hundreds or thousands of different devices on their network. It is a daunting task to maintain Zero Trust with those devices when they are out of compliance with their specifications. Viakoo recently launched their Viakoo Action Platform, a suite of modules which ensures enterprise devices have vulnerabilities remediated, can rejoin the network safely, and function properly while meeting compliance.

Listen in to Bud as he discusses the remediation process for all IoT network devices.

IoT Security – Zero Trust – Governance

As IoT devices become more prevalent, it is important to ensure that they are properly secured and governed. IoT Security refers to the various measures taken to secure IoT devices from unauthorized access and exploitation. Zero Trust is a security model that assumes that all users and devices are untrusted and must be verified before being granted access to resources. In the context of IoT, this means that all IoT devices must be verified and authenticated before being allowed to connect to a network or system. Governance is the process of ensuring that IoT devices are properly configured and used in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Good governance helps to ensure that IoT devices are used safely and securely, and that they do not pose a risk to the organization.
