Segment 1 - Show Open , Cardinals Hacking & Joe Strauss 6.17.15

Charlie sitting across from Doug this morning, Doug not prepared, may not be suspensions this morning, captain's log, reaction the breaking news about the Cardinals hacking the Astros, hard to believe any of the top management would have been involved, waiting for more facts to be released, FBI seized Cardinals' computers some time ago, interesting reactions from media as well as social media, tough to make opinions on situation without more facts, cannot see the Cardinals' wanting to purposely steal information from the Astros for some kind of competitve advantage, some believe such as Bob Costas that the situation will wind up being benign, Richard Justice said that Bill DeWitt or John Mozeliak could not be involved, hearing from MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!, hearing from Bob Costas about what could happen, texter quite upset with Bill Plaschke of the LA Times writing the FBI investigation of the Cards makes it fair to question their postseason wins over the Dodgers, wondering about Jeff Luhnow's passwords, wondering what kind of penalties that MLB might eventually impose, quick NBA thoughts especially the MVP going to Andre Iguodala, Doug thinks there's bigger problems in the world then baseball teams hacking each other while understanding that hacking is serious, Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joins the show, hard to draw the line whether it's a big deal or not since a crime was committed, do not think the Cardinals are in need of the Astros' philosophies, belief that a couple rogue employees wanted to see how their former program/database was being used, emabarrassing moment for the Astros at one point having private data leaked, just because it's sports does not mean that anything should be taken lightly, wondering why the FBI subpoenas have not been released, one particular case could be dissapted, perhaps hope that little fish would roll over on big fish, hard to believe organization would risk success over this crime, key to situation will be who knew what when, hard to use the word 'benign' like Bob Costas used, would not feel benign if this happened to the Cardinals, comparing the Cardinals to the Patriots at this point, biggest difference is that Pats are repeat offenders, plenty of media members (or others on social media) taking a lot of delight in what happened yesterday, not exactly sure how many guys knew about the investigation, curious that Mike Matheny did not know about investigation until yesterday, odd that Matheny who was in Florida at the time did not know especially after computers were taken from the Busch Stadium offices, understanding that the tracking of the hack took place in Palm Beach (Florida), goal for FBI will be to discover how far up the ladder this crime went, history of Luhnow with the Cardinals, former Birds players that have becomes Astros, times of resenment since about 2007 between Luhnow and other Cardinals executives, reaction from the fans at the game only hours after the news broke & SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!
